Reaching for Bigger Dreams
Oils. I painted this for the nursery of my granddaughter, Audrey, when she was born. My hope for her is that she will always reach for the best things in life and especially to accept Jesus as her personal Saviour and Lord. I love you little monkey!
Grandpa's Kentucky Barn
Oils. My mom grew up on a farm and had fond memories of playing with kittens and chickens in this barn. Just had to paint it and remember where my roots came from.
Boiler Up!
Oils. I love the look of old trains. This is my rendition of a huge six piece photo that hangs in the hallways of the brusar's offices at Purdue University. I like what my brother, Tim, the brusar, always says when they are getting ready to take on a challenger in football, basketball, etc. "Boiler Up!" So that has become my motto as I venture out into the world of art business. Thanks for all the encouragement you have given me little bro!
Old Virginia Mill
Oils. My rendition of the beautiful historic Glade Creek Mill in Babcock State Park, Virginia

Cubs Win!
Oils. I painted this picture of Wrigley Field for my son, Scotty, right after the Cubs won the 2016 World Series. A miracle that my Chicago Cubs loving family never thought they would get to witness in their lifetime.

Grisaille
Grisaille is the term used for painting in monotone colors. I love learning how to start some of my paintings in this manner and like them just as much as the finished glazed paintings.
